The hiking quality of the Wilder Kaiser area has been officially confirmed in the year 2011. The Wilder Kaiser mountain range is known as the first alpine region which has been awarded the Austrian Hiking Quality Seal. Additionally, hotels, towns and trails have also been analyzed and thus certified. On 12th July 2011, in line with the Ellmau Summer Night, the region and the towns Ellmau ,Going, Scheffau and Söll have been awarded the Hiking Quality Seal.
